Yesterday marked the first day of the third annual Reelabilities: NY Disabilities Film Festival. Running until February 8th, the festival has a well-organized film schedule on its website. All of the films are followed by discussions, which I envision are just as amazing as the films themselves.
The films are screened at various locations around the city, mainly JCC’s and Y’s, although I saw a few listed as showing at the Guggenheim and various colleges. Ticket prices vary- I saw some films listed for $5, others for $10, and some are free with advanced registration (e.g. Anita at NYC College of Technology). More information about prices as well as descriptions of the films can be found here.
